Wings Of Prayer

I learned a lesson the other day as I watched a newborn eagle

He sat upon the edge of his nest feeling so small and feeble

Finally he made the jump that would teach him how to fly

as he spread out wide he flew high up in the sky

And then I thought of myself, and all of my earthly fears

the pain and disappointments that's been mingled with my tears

Just then I remembered, my Father gave me strong wings too

They are ready to bear me up, if I'll just put my wings to use

life's burdens cannot share
